Richie Mo'unga

Richie Mo'unga debuted for Canterbury during the 2013 season when he was brought in as injury and All Black cover and impressed with a 27 point haul (1 try, 8 conversions, 2 penalties) and man of the match honours in his first game.  He was named in the official squad for the first time in 2014.
It has been a rapid rise for the young back - Mo'unga went from three years in the St Andrew's College first XV directly into senior club rugby for Linwood RFC, and later that same year he was debuting for Canterbury.  But the same calm focus and level head that serve him so well on the field are no doubt also helping him to take each new challenge in his stride.
While first five-eighth is his usual position, Mo'unga has the versatility to also play at fullback.
Mo'unga was also selected for the NZ Under 20 squad for the IRB Junior World Championship in 2014 and for the Crusaders Wider Training Group in 2015.  He was promoted to the full Crusaders squad for the 2016 Super Rugby season and scored an impressive 179 points.
