Jack Goodhue

Jack Goodhue launched himself onto the provincial scene in 2014 with a try on debut for Canterbury, but was officially named in the squad for the first time last year.
He comes from Northland and attended Mount Albert Grammar School, where he was Head Boy and vice captain of the first XV - twin brother Josh was the captain.  The twins led the team to 17 wins out of 20 games in 2013.
Jack moved south to study agriculture at Lincoln University in his first year out of school and has proven to be an excellent gain for the rugby club as well, helping first the Lincoln University Colts team and then the Division 1 team to championships over recent seasons.
In 2015, Goodhue represented his country in the All Blacks sevens team as well as the New Zealand U20 World Cup winning side.  He captained the U20 team for its match against Argentina during the World Cup in Italy.
He joined the Crusaders squad last season, although a knee injury meant he was unavailable for most of the season so he will be looking forward to making his Super Rugby debut in 2017.
When he's not playing rugby or studying, Jack is active in the Salvation Army.
