Ereatara Enari

192.jpg
Ereatara Enari is an exciting new prospect at halfback, although he has also proven to be a handy first five.
Enari grew up in the North Island, having been born in Auckland but also spending part of his youth in Gisborne and Palmerston North. He made the move to Christchurch to join the Crusaders Academy last year, and also helped Lincoln University to their second consecutive Hawkins Cup championship this year, scoring two tries in the final.
He is a naturally gifted rugby player, which may be partly thanks to good genes, being the nephew of former All Blacks Michael Jones and Eroni Clarke.
He played first five for the New Zealand Schools team in 2014, and for the NZ Universities side in 2015.  He was also selected in the NZ Under 20 squad this year as a halfback.
A season ending injury to fellow halfback Mitchell Drummond will provide an opportunity for Enari to rack up some game time for Canterbury this season.
