Chelsea Gurr to mark refereeing milestone this weekend

Canterbury referee Chelsea Gurr will referee her 20th first class rugby game this weekend when the Canterbury Women’s team take on Manawatu at Christchurch’s Rugby Park.  It is a milestone that only three other female referees in New Zealand have reached, and is all the more significant given she was seriously ill with meningitis just two years ago and almost had to hang her boots up for good.
