Canterbury team to play Taranaki

Canterbury will play their third game in eight days this Sunday afternoon, when they take on Taranaki at New Plymouth’s Yarrow Stadium.

160928Mitre10WaikvCant1334Canterbury overcame a brave Waikato side to lift the Ranfurly Shield for a record equalling 15th time with a 29-23 win in Hamilton.
Despite defending the Ranfurly Shield proudly in 2016, Waikato knew they had to lift a gear to have any chance of repelling the challenge of the Premiership leaders and did that by crossing for three tries to Canterbury’s two. But like all great teams, Canterbury poured the pressure on Waikato and took points at vital times through the accurate boots of Richie Mo’unga and Jordie Barrett.


Canterbury team to play Waikato in Ranfurly Shield challenge

Canterbury will make their first Ranfurly Shield challenge in four years when they play Waikato this Wednesday night. 

The team heads to Hamilton this afternoon to prepare for tomorrow night’s match, which comes just four days after their win against Otago.  Head Coach Scott Robertson has made five changes to the starting line-up that played on Saturday.


Canterbury team to play Otago

The Canterbury Mitre 10 Cup team is back at home this weekend, for a Saturday afternoon game against Otago.  It is a top of the table clash, with Otago currently leading the Championship points table and Canterbury at the top of the Premiership table.  


Canterbury Women's team to play Auckland in Semi-Final

The Canterbury Women’s team will meet Auckland for the second time this season, when they head north to contest the semi-final of the Farah Palmer Cup this Saturday.
